Nike Plus

Hey Guys!

A few years ago, Nike and Apple collaborated to create a fantastic product called 'Nike Plus.'  The purpose of the product is to allow runners to track their calories, miles and distances of their works outs, as well as pair work outs with music.

I recently picked up a Nike Plus from the Apple store and am totally hooked. The Nike Plus package, priced fairly at $30, includes a small chip to insert in the sole of the running sneaker and a device that reads the chip to plug into the iPod. Newer iPods and iPhones sync with the Nike Plus chip wirelessly and do not need the external plug.

Once the chip syncs with the iPod, the runner can choose from an open ended, basic, distance, calorie-goal or timed work out types.

I bought the Nike Plus package over the summer and immediately fell in love. The only problem is the chip - it does not fit comfortably under in the sole of the shoe.  Nike designs various styles of Nike Plus shoes, which comes.

That's all for now! Check back soon for tips on how to stay warm on your runs this winter!
