Hi again!
After a week of rain, we're finally getting some sunshine in the Lehigh Valley! A plus to the rainy weather were some of the trends I saw around campus over the past few days.
A must for rainy weather is obviously rain boots. High quality boots can be found at Hunter. These U.K. wellington boots are extremely durable and can be worn to hike in or in other outdoor excursions. The matching socks are also great; they're very comfortable and add a nice touch to the top of the boot, where the sock folds over and is visible on the outside.

Another fun trend for rainy days are baseball hats. I have a bunch of hats, but never find an appropriate and feminine way to wear them off the tennis court. Caps are a great fashion piece because they're both functional to keep your face dry and sporty. Thank god the Yankees pulled off a shaky end to their season to land a seat in the post season! Fifteen post season appearances out of the last sixteen years - not too shabby. I'm sure my Boston and Philly friends will find some reason to knock the 27 rings though...
Back to the fashion though...I'm a huge fan of the Bronx Bombers, so I took full advantage to wear my faded/vintage washed Yankee hat this week, despite the many criticism I got from my "Phils Phanatics" fans.
I found this online. It's pretty close to the type of hat I have. Unlike more masculine hats with flat brims and bright colors, the faded wash doesn't add clunk and goes well with most street clothes. To dress up this look or to add a more 'feminine touch', bright bangle bracelets, layered necklaces and/or a scarf work well.
So excited to watch the game tonight with my friend, Kim, who's a huge Twins fan. Hoping for a repeat of last year's ALDS!
That's it for now! Check back soon - within the next week or so, I will cover a live event through "LiveBlogging" for my Journ. 198 class!
